I have had my tattoo since December 29th, 2006 and the other day it just started burning?

First- If it’s been 4 months the burning should not be related to the tattoo.
Second- Getting X-Rays or CAT scans of any kind will NOT effect the tattoo.
Third- You might have just gotten something on you in that area that is irritating your skin. Nothing at all to do with your tattoo. Have your doctor look at it for you and get something for the irritation.
Hope this helps and good luck!

you need to go see a doctor, preferably, or the tattoo artist at the very least. burning is not a sign of healing. you may have developed a reaction to the ink – don’t scratch if it itches. was it totally healed before? have you followed aftercare instructions? have you exposed it to sunlight? there are a lot of possibilities but burning is no good!

you could be having an allergic reaction, but that’s really unlikely. It could be that you have a skin condition that is unrelated to the tattoo. I developed a rash that was on my tattoo on my neck and it just turned out that I had an allergic reaction to the necklace that I was wearing. See if you’ve changed anything since December, and if not see a dermatologist.
Probably nothing to fret about.

well, if its more of an itch rather than a burn i would say it is still healing, but if it really is a burning and it persists i’d see a doc about it.

Are sure it might not be a strong itch? I know mine itched long after I got it. However, it has stopped.

well i would get it looked at, but you might have just put something on it that had a weird reaction to the ink
