I’m going to Acapulco next week and I have a tattoo on my back.

Yes tattoos can fade in the sun. It all depends on your skin type and ink used. You should put sun block on your tattoos anytime you go out in the sun. But with time your tattoos will fade naturally.

yes it does after years; i have tats and they still have colour just not as vibrant as they were

Call the tattoo palor where you got your tattoo at and ask a professional. You will get a tan from the sun and it may peel your skin if you get sunburned.

Oh I think they fade over time. I was told to put a High SPF sunscreen right on the Tattoo. It should help it not to fad too much.

Yes they do, but don’t worry about it too much. Use sunscreen.

Yes tattoos do fade with the sun. However, regardless of the sun, tattoos fade and change as a person ages so you need to keep that in mind as well. It should be considered by anyone who is planning on getting a tattoo. Have a design that will stand up to the test of time.
The best thing to do if you can’t keep it covered is to make sure you use a good sunscreen with high SPF coverage.

If your tattoo is fresh and still healing you should keep it out of the sun and DO NOT swim. but if it is healed then it is no problem. My boyfriend is a tattoo artist. and I have 10 tatts

As long as the tattoo is healed, putting sunblock (spf 30 or higher) on your tattoo will greatly reduce damage done. Reapply the sunblock throughout the day if need be.
Usually damage to the tattoo is not immediate, but it comes from years and years of poor care and too much sun. For a week, you should be okay. Like I said, wear a good sunblock and try to keep sun exposure to a minimum when possible.

Yes, absolutely. Be sure to cover it in a very high SPF sunscreen and re-apply often. Over time, your tattoo will fade if you don’t.

Yes! Buy spf 50 . No joke i have a full color sleeve and i put a lot on to keep the color bright. The sun also will fade a black tattoo. Again spf50 on the tattoo and have fun.
