How Much Do You Estimate This Tattoo Costing?

I am looking at getting a tattoo in December, but I want to have an idea of the cost of the tattoo.
I want a black tattoo on my wrist (below the crease). It will include “Jeremiah 29:11′ with a sun, heart, and cross symbol below the verse. The overall design is very simple, although I am not quite sure what font I want to use.
About how much would you estimate the tattoo to cost? I live in Northern New Jersey.

It honestly just depends on the place that you go. I got something on my wrist as well. The place I was originally going to go to was very, very professional. They have a minimum of $100. I changed my mind – no way in hell I would pay that much to get a tattoo. I called up another place that was a little on the sketchy side, but still professional, and it only cost me $35. They had no minimum. Try to haggle your tat. Tell them “Well, blahblah will do it for $50 but I heard you guys were better. However, I don’t feel that this should cost $75. $50 sounds more reasonable.” Have fun. :)

I have two lines of text on my left wrist below the crease. I got it in May of ’08 from a Chandler tattoo parlor called Ink Bomb, it was done by a woman who works there named Tab. I got mine done with two other tattoos, so she cut the price down for me it only cost $30… without the discount wit was about $70. I had many other artists quote me from $60 to over $130. It all depends on who you go to.
East cost prices seem to be higher, but my suggestion is that you find an artist you really like (someone you think you’d want to go back to for another tattoo) that is reputable and reasonable. when it comes to tattoos, you generally get what you pay for, a cheap tattoo is going to look exactly like it sounds cheap.
I hope this helped. Good luck :)

First, try to realize that incorporating that many things into such a small area can be both difficult and a bad idea in the long run. Too much detail in a small space tends to bleed together quicker and look crappier in a shorter period of time. I would suggest picking a different spot or simplifying the idea a bit. This is at least a $150.00 tattoo as I am assuming you want color. Good luck and I hope it turns out great.

Are you talking about from the crease under your wrist to the crease where your elbow bends? If so, I’d estimate about $200 depending how detailed you want it. I suggest looking around at tattoo shops and you’ll be able to get an estimate. Some places charge by the hour, I’d suggest asking for a flat rate.

that sounds like a lame tattoo… but the answer to your question:
if you go to some guy out of a trailer who isnt worth crap you might get it done for 5 bucks, if you go to a decent place you may spend a few hundred bucks. i recommend the second one though, its safer.. not to mention the tattoo will last forever…

It will probably cost you a couple of good paying jobs that you would have gotten had it not been for the visible tattoo that put off the employer.

it all changes depending on your artist, but don’t go for the cheapest one you can find, if you can, go for the cleanest shop with the best rep in your area.

I have no idea about tattoos but if you want you could go to a tattoo shop explain it and they will give you a rough estimate.

It will probably “cost you” many jobs that you apply for. You may think it’s cool, but to most prospective employers it spells trouble.

You might only get charged the minimum, which is anywhere from $50 to $80. But if it has color and some detail, I would guess around $120 or so.
